El Pulpo Cojo

One of the best beachfront restaurants in Punta Cana is called "ElPulpoCojo." The origin of the name remains a mystery, but it means “Lame Octopus.” This popular restaurant is a well-appointed beach bar that also serves good food. Specialties are fish and shellfish.

Because the restaurant is Spanish-owned, a special section of the menu features paella. Lounge chairs are available to patrons who’d like to sit on the beach and enjoy the view. This relaxing activity of course is made even more enjoyable with a cold beer or cocktail from the El PulpoCojo bar.
