Because it’s not easy to find accurate, reliable and up-to-date information sources on destinations in these countries, IVI Destination Management created www.DQuest.travel.

Now, instead of laboriously surfing dozens to hundreds of websites offered by tourism ministries, CVB’s, OCV’s and hospitality industry organizations – which often are only minimally helpful – you can rely on DQuest.travel. This website is created and maintained by professionals for professionals. Its purpose is to give professional event planners the most complete information we can assemble about hotels, excursions, attractions, golf courses and restaurants in the seven countries where IVI operates – Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Brazil and Chile. In brief, DQuest.travel is designed to be your “one stop shopping” resource for meeting professionals looking for the best place to hold an event.

The Dquest.Travel site includes information on more than 500 hotels and resorts, more than 400 restaurants and more than 800 golf courses and recreational attractions.The site provides objective information to help meeting professionals make intelligent site selections, and plan events that rely on highly-regarded hotels, resorts and event suppliers. Ours is a dynamic industry, and surviving and thriving requires us all to adapt and reinvent ourselves to keep up with new ways business is done. Our dquest.travel website undoubtedly will change – and we hope improve – over time. To become the first choice for planners and suppliers who want to leverage electronic and digital technologies for information relevant and helpful to professional event planners, hotels and resorts, and hospitality industry suppliers.

In 1999, IVI Destination Management established MexicoQuest, a company launched to help event planners, hoteliers and suppliers alike. The company was created because no comprehensive resource existed for planners in search of high-end properties for their meetings and incentive travel. And the information resources that existed either included only certain brands, or charged a fee to “recommend” properties. Other sources were too promotional, and did no provide dta in a way that served planners.

So IVI founder and president Jose-Manuel Garcia initiated the company’s first effort to provide relevant and helpful destination information to planners. The company began producing a series of DVDs, each jam-packed with detailed property and supplier descriptions. These DVDs were distributed to meeting planners during the most important annual MICE industry events.

As a result, MexicoQuest became the first of its kind to provide planners with credible, peer-rated information about first-class properties. A few years later this information program expanded to a web portal called www.MexicoQuest.com. This website started with the same information contained in the company’s DVDs, and has been regularly updated since then. The portal underwent a name change due to the expansion of IVI into other Latin American countries, and in 2006, www. DMCQuest.com was born.

Now we have significantly raised the bar with our current site, www.DQuest.travel. We believe it presents “the best of the best” – data on highly-reputable suppliers, made available to the most demanding MICE industry professionals. Please bear in mind the DQuest.travel is not a selling tool for IVI Destination Management.
